The Civil Protection of the Campania Region has issued a weather alert with a hydrogeological criticality level due to rains and thunderstorms, even intense ones, on Ischia and zones 1 and 3 (Naples, Islands, Vesuvian area, Piana Campana; Sorrento-Amalfi coast, Monti di Sarno and Monti Picentini).

The notice is valid from 11.59 pm today until 11.59 pm tomorrow.

For the rest of Campania, the regional civil protection itself has issued a yellow alert. 

Scattered precipitations are expected, including downpours or thunderstorms, locally of strong intensity.

Thunderstorms, reports the Civil Protection of Campania, "could give rise to a hydrogeological risk, even widespread, with possible landslides, slope instability, rapid mud or debris flows, rockfall, flooding, elevation of the hydrometric levels of the courses of water with flooding phenomena in the surrounding areas, surface runoff of rainwater in the streets and involvement of depressed urban areas".

The tide this morning in Venice reached

The Mose, activated on the basis of weather forecasts, has made it possible to contain the high tide in the city to 62 centimetres.
