(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 09 - "With today's approval in the Council of Ministers of the decree which provides for the new sanctioning measures also on the subject of illegal hiring, the Meloni Government demonstrates once again with the facts that Italy is finally turning the page, even in the agricultural and agri-food world.Among the various measures, we have in fact provided for new sanctions for those who violate the rules protecting workers' rights, including those against illegal hiring in agriculture. For the first time, those who are
responsible for these infringements cannot be of economic aid and, in general, of the benefits foreseen by the CAP".
This was stated by the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Francesco Lollobrigida.
"This provision - underlines the minister - is added to the interministerial decree on social conditionality that I signed about a month ago together with my fellow ministers of the Interior Piantedosi, Labor Calderone and Health Schillaci. We continue, with concrete deeds, to carry out our policies to combat the exploitation of workers and protection of rights, health and safety at work".
