(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 10 - Not all Christmas gifts will be spot on and appreciated, and a part of the gifts exchanged during the holidays will end up in the "recycling" group: 1 out of 4 Italians say they are ready to recycle Christmas gifts: half of the recycled gifts will be given to friends and relatives, while the number of consumers who will sell the gifts received on the web is growing significantly.
According to Codacons estimates, 35% of those who recycle gifts will try to sell them through new apps, social networks and e-commerce sites".
"In the meantime, high prices are revolutionizing the habits of Italians dealing with Christmas gifts, changing the ranking of the most given products during the holidays, explains the association which has carried out a survey to understand which gifts are the most popular this year for relatives and friends .
In first place in the "top ten" of Christmas gifts that will end up under the tree is the item "clothing and fashion accessories", products that represent for Italians an above all useful gift to give to loved ones.
Toys are firmly confirmed on the podium occupying the third position, however this year ousted by food that rises to second place in the ranking, demonstrating how Italians are increasingly attracted by food, drink, baskets based on "Made in Italy" products, goods that in recent years they have made their way into the top ten most purchased Christmas gifts.
Unmissable under the tree are books and CDs, electronics, household products, appliances, perfumes and cosmetic bags, jewels, frames, watches, with bags, belts and wallets.
