(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 10 - In the months of galloping inflation, the National Consumer Union has processed the latest Istat data available to draw up the rankings of Christmas gifts and Christmas lunch foods that were more expensive than last year so far.
For the ranking of gifts, coffee pods or capsules are in first place, which cost 25.9% more than a year ago.
In second place are films on DVD which rise by 23.6%.
Bronze medal for cameras and video cameras which increase by 20.2%.
Note the limited increases, at least for now, in footwear (+2.1% for women, +0.4% for men) and Toys (25th, +1.8%).
Even fiction books (-2.2%) and mobile telephony (-5.6%) are in deflation.
For the ranking of foods and drinks typical of the Christmas lunch or dinner, the exotic fresh fruit we look for for the holidays "wins" and which rises by 19.3% compared to a year ago.
Silver medal for 18% flying poultry.
On the lowest step of the podium are cheeses, +16.8%.
Even if they usually advance, there is no shortage of side dishes.
In particular, for some regional recipes there must be artichokes (baked lamb) and potatoes (stockfish) which go up by 16.2% and 16.1% respectively.
