The best comedy award went to the Spanish film The Good Boss, starring Javier Bardem.

Vicky Krieps was awarded best actress for her portrayal of the Austrian Empress Elisabeth in »Corsage«.

Joining in via video, she said she wanted to dedicate the award to all women in the world who should be seen and heard.

»Mariupolois 2« has been honored as the best documentary.

Director Mantas Kvedaravičius portrayed the people of Mariupol during the Russian war against Ukraine.

The documentary filmmaker was killed in a rocket attack on Mariupol during filming in April.

The film was completed by his fellow producers.

The German director Margarethe von Trotta (80) was honored for her life's work.

In her acceptance speech, von Trotta was touched and recalled that so far only a few female directors have received this award.

Von Trotta began her career as an actress, for example in films by Volker Schlöndorff and Rainer Werner Fassbinder.

In the early 1970s she was drawn behind the camera – at a time when women were still rarely directing.

The film academy announced in advance that she had become one of the leading directors of European auteur cinema.

She received a Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival in the early 1980s for her film Die bleierne Zeit.

She also made films about Hannah Arendt, Hildegard von Bingen and Rosa Luxemburg.

Your new film is supposed to tell about the relationship between the writer Ingeborg Bachmann and the writer Max Frisch.
