(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 10 - The "Porta Metronia" station should come into operation in October 2024 and the Colosseum station at the beginning of 2025 with full operation from February 2025".
This was stated by the mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri on the sidelines of the inspection of the construction site of the Fori Imperiali station of Metro C in which he took part together with the Minister of Infrastructure Matteo Salvini.
"We have to be quick. This work has already had too many delays in the past, and now we have to hurry", added Gualtieri.
The mayor described the new network as a "technological jewel".
"We are progressing well and the confirmation of funding for the completion of the entire section was very important - he added - which gives certainty and will also help speed up the times of this fundamental infrastructure. This will be the most important station in the world, truly an engineering masterpiece ''.(ANSA).
