Other than decline, women after 40 are more powerful and sexier.
This was said by Kate Winslet, 47, in an interview with the BBC's 'Woman's Hour'.
"I have arthritis in a big toe and my left foot swells in the heat - says the Oscar-winning actress in 2008 for The Reader -. I'm 47 years old and there are pieces that no longer do what you want. And there is there's something fabulous about thinking, 'Well, that's it, right?'"
She explained that when women turn 40 they think, 'this is the beginning of my decline.'
"I decided not - she continues -. We become more women, more powerful, more sexy. We evolve in ourselves. We have the opportunity to say what we think without fearing the opinion of others, regardless of how we are, I think it is extraordinary".
