Sixth race of the season with sixth podium and third victory for the Swiss Marco Odermatt who imposed himself in 2'03"63 in the extremely difficult giant of the Alpine Ski World Cup held in Val D'Isere (France). Odermatt is thus increasingly alone at the head of the general classification of the World Cup with 520 points. Behind him the Austrian Manuel Feller in 2'05"02 and the Slovenian Zan Kranjec in 2'05"67. For
Italy the best was the young talent 21-year-old Filippo Della Vite from Bergamo who, with bib number 49, finished in 12th place in 2'07"12.
Then, there is the South Tyrolean from the Aurina valley, Simon Maurberger, who, 30/o after the first heat and therefore first to start in the second, recovered 17 positions, finishing in 2'07"20.
Tomorrow it will be the turn of the special slalom, the first of the season.
