(ANSA) - KIEV, DECEMBER 10 - The Kiev government looks favorably on a possible role of the Holy See in future peace negotiations but "the sad truth is that the time for mediation has not yet come and the reason is President Putin. If you want peace, don't send missiles every week to destroy our infrastructures, don't keep sending soldiers to capture our cities, don't annex territories that belong to others".
This was stated by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba to journalists on a mission with the Ukrainian embassy to the Holy See.
"The time for mediation will come and if the Holy See wishes to participate, it will be welcome".
The Holy See or any State, he added, "must not say that if they help with something, they must also be neutral so as not to frighten the Russians.
