After shopping in the home of the supermarket chain Kaufland, a hobby chef reports with a peppery complaint.

Neckarsulm - Kaufland is based in Neckarsulm (Baden-Württemberg) - but the "home advantage" does not prevent a customer from the region from approaching the chain's products critically.

What's more, he reports to the Neckarsulm branch via Facebook the day after his purchase with a double-edited complaint.

Because his spice purchase was really not to his satisfaction (similar to that of an oregano fan recently at Penny).

Three photos and his sentences explain why.

"Kaufland: You can't be serious" - customer complains

"Kaufland: You can't be serious!" He begins his post.

"Either whole peppercorns in a jar with a mill or to refill in a bag or ground with a shaker.

But whole peppercorns in a jar with a shaker?” It really doesn't look practical.

Was there a glitch here and there should have been an attachment with a larger opening on the glass?

Or is it standard that the spice jars look like this?

The Kaufland customer asks himself: "Does the product manager still live with mommy and has he never been in the kitchen before?"

Kaufland's social media team immediately spoke up and regretted the customer's dissatisfaction.

"Thank you for writing to us.

We are very sorry that there is no mill for the pepper," the reaction said.

"We would be happy to bring you together with our customer management for further exchange.

Please send us your e-mail address via direct message."

Kaufland pepper: Another customer thinks they know the background

Another Facebook user thinks they can clarify.

“These are universal lids.

In picture two you can see the pre-embossed break edge.

Mining is that easy and the food is already seasoned.” In fact, the lid can probably be broken open with a tool and strong pressure.

And the peppercorns are pattering out of the glass.

That doesn't satisfy the Kaufland customer: "Who sprinkles whole peppercorns on their potato or tomato salad?

I don't know of any... With packaging like this, I expect whole grains to have a grinder on top."

A small cooking discussion develops between the two gentlemen.

“Whole peppercorns are delicious in the goulash.

And if I want to use ground, I use a small mortar and pestle.

Do you know something like that or are you really that clumsy?

Then why are you buying all the grains at all?” teases the other user.

The pepper buyer replies several times and at the end gets a tip for free: "Then it would have been better to buy ground anyway." Another Kaufland customer recently complained publicly with photos - he fled to Aldi dissatisfied.
