Even if the poinsettia likes it warm as a tropical plant - heating air is poison for the pretty plant.
Whether classic in red, but also in white, beige or light orange - poinsettias (lat. Euphorbia pulcherrima) beautify living rooms and other areas of the house during the Advent season.
But you should not place the sensitive plant on the heater.

Not only waterlogging and cold drafts damage the pretty spurge plant.
Especially if you want to be warm in your own four walls during the winter months, you should definitely not put Euphorbia on the windowsill when the heating underneath is running at full speed.
Because heating air leads to drooping leaves in the plant.
The following locations are possible instead:
In the kitchen, because it's usually a bit cooler there than in the rest of the apartment.
Attention: Temperatures below 18 degrees do not get the plant either.
In the living room, with sufficient distance to existing radiators.
If you have underfloor heating, it's easier.
This type of heating is more comfortable for the poinsettia as the heat is better distributed throughout the room.
On a window sill if the heating underneath is set to a maximum of level two to three.
Euphorbia pulcherrima also does not like direct sunlight.

In order for the poinsettia, also known as the poinsettia, to survive from the garden center or flower shop to your home, you should wrap it well in paper at low temperatures.
