The two daughters of US actress and presenter Drew Barrymore will not be able to unwrap presents at Christmas.
The 47-year-old told "Entertainment Tonight".
'I take her on a trip every Christmas.
I don't give them anything, although I don't think they'd appreciate it at their age,' she said.
Rather, the actress thinks they will all "remember the place, the photos and the experience."
She would much rather give that away.
However, she also acknowledged that her children, who are eight and ten years old, would not have to go without.
"They get a lot of things all year round, so I'm not some weird, strict, cold mom."
"I just think a better gift would be a memento." Barrymore would rather invest in such things than a doll's house.
The girls' father is Barrymore's third husband, Will Kopelman, from whom she is divorced.
She previously spoke about dating and being alone, saying she's dating again.
"Because it had been so many years ago, I was concerned that I was too good at being alone," the 47-year-old said on an episode of her The Drew Barrymore Show.
With her guest, actress Whoopi Goldberg (67), she spoke there about dating after being single for a long time.
"There's nothing wrong with being alone," Goldberg said.
You can also go on dates without immediately integrating the other person into your life.
