Agca writes to Pietro Orlandi, "Emanuela handed over to the nuns"

(ANSA) - VATICAN CITY, DECEMBER 13 - Ali Agca, the author of the attack on Pope John Paul II in 1981, wrote a long letter to Pietro Orlandi, Emanuela's brother, recounting his umpteenth version of the events on the kidnapping of young Vatican citizen on June 22, 1983. According to what he writes in the letter - reported by Corriere della Sera -, Emanuela Orlandi would have been at the center of an all-Vatican intrigue, and her kidnapping was connected to that of Mirella Gregori.

"Emanuela Orlandi - Agca's words - was an entirely Vatican fact and was taken over by some nuns from the beginning, she understood the importance of her role and accepted it serenely.
