There are still several months left for the release of the new iPhone 15 but rumors about model names and possible prices are already circulating on the net.
As reported by the Howtoisolve website, the top-of-the-range version of the next smartphone, described online as the iPhone 15 Ultra, could have the highest price tag in the history of Apple-branded mobile phones.
Whistleblower LeaksApplePro says the iPhone 15 Ultra will have a starting price of $1,299, a $200 increase over the iPhone 14 Pro Max sold in the US.
"It will be a more expensive iPhone. Even in the US," explains LeaksApplePro.
"Apple has been losing margins year after year.
The increase in production costs and inflation, which decreases the value of the money that the company has in the bank, have overflowed the vase". The launch of the iPhone 15 family is expected after the summer, usually in the month of September.
Regarding the technical characteristics, the 15 Ultra would offer a minimum memory cut of 256 Gb, double the current 128 Gb of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, new front cameras, the USB type C charging port, which will be mandatory in the European market from December 2024, and a titanium shell.
In recent weeks there has also been talk of the disappearance of all the physical keys on the highest variant, with the volume rocker eliminated in favor of management only via software.
Only the power button on the top side of the body would remain.
