at the end of June , he explained that he would receive a salary of "a good 200,000 euros gross per year".
When asked, he also added that as a minister he didn't have to fill up his tanks himself and because of his income he didn't look at prices either.

Salary increase for Scholz and some ministers
The reason for this: A new dietary allowance has been in effect since July 1, from which the Chancellor and some ministers benefit because they have a mandate in Parliament.
In addition, Scholz is also a member of the Bundestag, which is why he is allowed to keep half of a member's allowance.
Vice-Chancellor and Economics Minister Robert Habeck (53, The Greens), Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (41, The Greens) and Federal Finance Minister Christian Lindner (43, FDP), on the other hand, have to be content with “only” a little over 25,000 euros.
Incidentally, Ursula von der Leyen also earns a similar salary as EU Commission President.
