Energy costs are currently extremely high.
Nevertheless, many heat by feel.
What temperature does the apartment actually have when the controller is set to 3?
Kassel – In winter, temperatures in Germany can drop below zero.
The meticulously drawn up heating plans for the energy-saving winter of 2022 are now faced with icy temperatures - and the heating will certainly be turned up a level higher than planned in one place or another.
What exactly the numbers, lines and symbols on the heating controller mean is a mystery to many.
However, especially now, with the huge cost of electricity, gas and oil, it is worth knowing what temperature the apartment is when the heating is on, say, 3.
This is reported by hna.de.
Heating is currently at the center of many debates.
But what temperature does the apartment actually have if you set the heating to 3?

Using the heater correctly: what is the temperature at level 3?
The classification of the heating controller is the same for all devices and is quite simple: At the lowest level, the heating is in frost protection mode, as the
consumer center
reports.
This means that a temperature of around five degrees Celsius is maintained so that the radiator does not freeze.
That is why this stage is also represented with an ice crystal.
Level 1 already means twelve degrees, with each additional number corresponding to an increase of four degrees.
At level 3 there is a temperature of around 20 degrees in the room, at level 5 even 28 degrees.

Proper heating: In which room can the heating be set to 3?
With conscious heating, the exploding energy prices can at least be counteracted to some extent, although costs are also incurred for switching off the heating.
People have different needs for warmth in every room.
The federal government
recommends heating the living room to 20 to 22 degrees.
On the heating, that would be a setting between level 3 and 4. It can be a little warmer in the bathroom (23 degrees), but a little cooler in the kitchen (18 to 20 degrees) and in the bedroom (16 to 18 degrees).
However, there is a lot more to consider when heating properly.
The heating should never be switched off when leaving the apartment.
It costs a lot of energy to heat up cold rooms again.
