Training night like no other for the Atlas Lion FC, a Franco-Moroccan 7-a-side football team that plays on Saturday mornings in the second division.
On Wednesday, Morocco faces France in the semi-finals of the World Cup.
After finishing at the top of their group ahead of Croatia, Walid Regragui's team beat Spain (1/8th final) and Portugal (1/4 final).
The Atlas Lion FC team now believe in their chances of bringing down reigning world champions France.
"Anyway, Morocco has written history"
“We won the favorites so why not France?
“, dreams Moulay, a player of the team, who has just returned from Qatar, where he was able to attend all the matches of Morocco and France in the group stage.
This is the first time in its history that Morocco has gone so far in the competition.
“It's unbelievable, no one believed in our chances, we were predicted to be last… So whatever it was, Morocco wrote history”, conclude arm in arm the teammates.
