"Due to the many different formats that were supposed to make quotas against each other, there was pressure to outperform the others with spectacular guests and topics": TV presenter Arabella Kiesbauer looks back critically on her earlier talk show.
"In retrospect, I would say with some programs: We went too far," said the 52-year-old to "Zeit-Magazin".
The talk show didn't always "reach into the box of good taste".
For example, when she wasn't able to stop the disrespectful interaction between the guests or when she was shouted at.
Nevertheless, she enjoyed the work - »but after ten years I had the feeling of being a hamster on a running wheel«.
From 1994 to 2004, Kiesbauer hosted the talk show "Arabella" in ProSieben's afternoon program.
At that time she made a temporary cut and "didn't want anything to do with television anymore".
Today she can be seen on Austrian television, among other things, as the presenter of the program »Bauer sucht Frau«.
She expressed herself in a joint interview with Britt Hagedorn and Ricky Harris, who both moderated afternoon talk shows on Sat.1 at the time.
