(ANSA) - MILAN, DECEMBER 14 - Germany will issue 539 billion euros of government bonds next year, according to the issuance plan published by the German government's Finance Agency.
This is a record amount, higher than both the 449 billion issued this year and the 483 billion in 2021, the year of the Covid pandemic.
The new issues, well in excess of the 325 billion bonds that will mature, will help finance the measures to combat high energy prices for households and businesses, for which Germany has allocated 200 billion euros, and will crowd a bond market that will no longer be able to count on the full support of the ECB.
