A woman fell about seven meters with her car from a bridge in Lower Saxony.
Her car broke through the railing of the bridge in Lehrte on Wednesday night and landed on a street below, the fire department said.
There he stayed on the roof.
The driver of an approaching car, which was only about 15 meters away, was able to brake just in time.
Together with his passengers, he cared for the injured woman, who was able to free herself from the completely destroyed car.
The 58-year-old was taken to the hospital.
The fire department said she suffered "moderate injuries."
The cause of the accident is still unclear.
A police spokesman said no other vehicles were involved.
The woman's car was totaled.
