(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, DECEMBER 14 - The allies agreed on NATO's civil and military budgets for 2023 during today's North Atlantic Council meeting.
The civil budget was set at 370.8 million euros and the military one at 1.96 billion euros, with an increase of 27.8% and 25.8% respectively compared to 2022. NATO announced it in a statement.
Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg welcomed the decision "strongly": "We must continue to invest more and better together: only North America and Europe united can keep our billion people safe in an increasingly dangerous world."
