(ANSA) - STRASBOURG, DECEMBER 14 - Green light from the European Parliament to the changes necessary to unblock the 18 billion euro aid package to Ukraine, after Hungary vetoed the original proposal.

Parliament accepted, with the so-called "emergency procedure", the modification proposed by the Council to the regulation on macro-financial assistance (Amf+), which indicates 26 EU countries as guarantors of the loan instead of the EU budget.

After the latest agreements, the procedure is still underway at Council level, from which all 27 EU states could eventually get a green light.

(HANDLE).
