It is a tradition much appreciated by Internet users.
Every year, members of British royalty publish a family portrait as a greeting card.
And like every year, the Prince and Princess of Wales were no exception to the rule and posed outside for this exercise.
In the photograph, unveiled this Tuesday, December 13 on their Instagram account @princeandprincessofwales, we see William and Kate Middleton alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The photo, signed by photographer Matt Porteous, was captured during a walk in Norfolk, reports the British press.
Relaxation and blue jeans
Unsurprisingly, this family portrait is always heavy with meaning and in this month of December 2022, the desired theme is clear: union.
In an onion row, all appear smiling and holding hands.
All ?
Almost.
As usual, Prince Louis, 4, sports a facetious expression and seems to have decided that he will not hold hands with his sister Charlotte, 7.

Festive atmosphere
In terms of style, the tone is also given.
In the photograph, all family members are wearing casual outfits in dark blue shades.
Prince William wears a Ralph Lauren shirt with an unbuttoned collar while Kate Middleton wears a light white blouse.
Both wore jeans and sneakers.
Princes George and Louis opted for a polo shirt and shorts while Princess Charlotte donned a 100% denim jumpsuit.

Last Sunday, Charles III and his wife Camilla also sent the English their first Christmas card.
The shot is also meant to be original.
We see the queen consort, all smiles, looking at her husband with an air of complicity.
The colors of their clothes – beige, green and red – also recall the atmosphere of the end of the year celebrations, so dear to the British and elsewhere.
