The hip-hop dancer who burst into consciousness on the show "The Wade Robson Project" and the dance reality show "So You Think You Can Dance" has ended his life • "To say he left a legacy would be an understatement," his widow wrote

The hip-hop dancer, choreographer and actor Stefan "Twitch" Bos, remembered by TV viewers mainly from Ellen DeGeneres' talk show and from the reality show "So You Think You Can Dance", passed away after taking his own life.

"It is with a heavy heart that I have to share with you that my husband Stefan has left us," confirmed his wife Alison Holker in an official statement to "People" magazine.

"Stefan lit up every room he entered. He placed the values of family, friendship and community above all else and leadership through love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, as well as an inspiration to his fans."

He was 40 years old when he died.

According to the TMZ.com website, Holker contacted the Los Angeles Police Department yesterday (Tuesday) after noticing that her husband had left the house without his car, which was uncharacteristic of him.

A short time later, in the early hours of the morning, a hotel boss in the city was found lifeless, from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

According to the report, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bose broke into consciousness at the beginning of the first decade of the 2000s on the MTV channel program, "The Wade Robson Project", and on the talent discovery program "Star Search".

In 2008, he competed in the popular dance reality show "So You Think You Can Dance" and came in second place in the show's fourth season.

Later he returned to the program once more as someone who left it and was considered a star in his field.

When the series returned to the screen earlier this year, he was one of the judges.

In 2014, he joined Ellen DeGeneres' popular (then) talk show as a guest.

He later became a regular team member on screen and behind the scenes, and in 2020 became its senior producer.

Alongside this, he appeared in well-known films such as "Magic Mike", the sitcom "Modern Family" and more.

In addition to his television activity, Bose often uploads dance videos to social media, many of which he collaborated with his wife Alison.

The couple's children also took part in some of the video clips.

He left behind a wife and three children.

"To say he left a legacy would be an understatement and his positive influence on the world will be felt even further," added his widow.

"I am sure that a day will not pass when we do not commemorate his memory. We ask for privacy during these difficult times, for me and for our children."

Alison ended her message with words of farewell to her late partner.

"Stefan, we love you, we miss you," she wrote, "and forever I will save the last dance for you."
