"Sigh", already in a discouraged and tired tone, Jenkins opened the long tweet in which she shared the drama with her millions of fans.
"I'm not one to talk about private career matters," she stated, but immediately clarified that this time she is not ready to sit on the sidelines and remain silent in the face of the false publications.
"I will not allow the inaccuracies to continue," she wrote, then began a lengthy description of the circumstances that led to her departure.

"I initially left 'Rogue Squadron' (the new film in the "Star Wars" film series that Jenkins was going to direct; . ' More.
When I did that, Lucasfilm (the production company behind "Star Wars"; a.h.) asked me to consider returning to 'Rogue Squadron'.
"It was an honor for me and I agreed to do so. They signed a new deal with me. In fact, I'm still signed to it and this project has been in active production since then. I don't know if it will happen or not," she sought to clarify.

At this point in her manifesto, Jenkins has removed the polite armor and has already adopted a much less inclusive tone.
"When the attack began and the rumors that 'Wonder Woman 3' would not happen, the attractive and false clickbait about me being the one who 'killed' him and decided to retire began to spread. This is simply not true," she wrote with undisguised anger.
"I never quit. I was willing to consider anything that was offered to me," she said, adding that she realized there was nothing she could have done at this point in time to promote the film.
"DC is buried in the changes they are forced to make so it is clear to me that these decisions are difficult right now," she wrote and then took a step back again and tried to finish her words in a conciliatory tone.
"I don't want what was a wonderful journey with 'Wonder Woman' to end on a harsh note," she wanted to clarify how connected she is to the film despite everything.
"I loved and was honored to be the person chosen to stand behind the last two films. She is a wonderful character. Living surrounded by her values makes me a better person every day and I wish her and her legacy an amazing future with or without me.

Jenkins wanted to end her words with praise for the two actresses who became superstars thanks to the film: the original Wonder Woman actress Linda Carter and of course Gal Gadot who became under Jenkins' hands a surprising discovery and a huge A-list star.
"Walking next to Lynda Carter, a legend and a source of light and kindness was exciting. I learned so much from her and will always cherish her as a friend and mentor. My team was like family and fought every day to bring the best movies to the world they could," she added.

In closing, Jenkins wanted to thank all the fans of the series for their love and support.
"The fans of 'Wonder Woman' are not always the most prominent in the field," she wrote, "but I want you to know that we have always seen you and celebrated you and your importance. You are the best and loving people and I look forward to celebrating you always. Thank you all for this wonderful journey. Keep going With the spirit of Wonder Woman.
