He was only 40 years old and is survived by his wife and three children: DJ, choreographer and TV producer Stephen Boss, known as "Twitch", is dead, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office said.
According to the report, which can be viewed online, Boss was found in a hotel room.
According to media reports, Boss' wife Allison Holker Boss had previously alerted the police because Boss left the house without his car and walked away.
This is very unusual for him.
His body was found a little later.
There is no officially confirmed information on the cause of death.
Boss' wife asks for privacy
In a statement to People magazine, Holker Boss confirmed the news of her husband's death.
"It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that my husband Stephen has left us," said the 34-year-old.
“Stephen lit up every room he walked into.
He valued family, friends and community above all else.” Spreading love and light was important to him.
"He was the backbone of our family, the best father and man and an inspiration to his fans."
She asked for privacy for herself and her three children, closing with a message to her late husband: "Stephen we love you, we miss you and my last dance will always be yours."
Just a few days ago, the couple shared a dance video from the Christmas-decorated living room.
It celebrated its ninth wedding anniversary on Sunday.
The couple have three children: 14-year-old Weslie, six-year-old Maddox and three-year-old Zaia.

Boss is best known as the DJ and choreographer of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
He worked there from 2014 until the end of the show that year.
He has also served as the show's producer since 2020.
In 2008 he came second in the dance show "So you think you can dance" and then got smaller roles in various films.
In 2017, together with his wife, he also presented the documentary series »Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings«.
