(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, DECEMBER 14 - The United States believes that the war in Ukraine "will not end in the coming winter months".
This was stated by the spokesman for the American national security council, John Kirby, in a virtual briefing with the press.
"We all would like the war in Ukraine to end today or early next year. But from what we see on the ground and from the intense fighting that is going on it is very unlikely that that will happen," he added.
