(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 14 - A new perturbation from France will bring rain and thunderstorms to a large part of the central and northern regions in the coming hours, while snowfalls are expected in the north-western regions, even at low altitudes.
On the basis of the available forecasts, the Civil Protection Department, in agreement with the regions involved - which are responsible for activating the civil protection systems in the territories concerned - has issued a weather alert which forecasts snowfalls of around 300-500 meters in Liguria and Piedmont from late morning , temporarily at lower altitudes in southern Piedmont, with low to moderate contributions to the soil.
A yellow alert was also assessed over a large part of Emilia-Romagna and over Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio and Campania.
