The final three episodes of Netflix's documentary series aren't as scathing as expected but the royal institution is clear

It all starts with a fairy tale.

The second part of the documentary series "Harry & Meghan", episodes 4, 5 and 6 of which were posted on Netflix this Thursday, December 15, begins with the couple's wedding in May 2018. Everything then seems to be going well. , the help of Prince Charles in the preparations is even mentioned several times.

Meghan then talks about her first royal engagement alongside the queen: "I had a great time with her," says Prince Harry's wife.

The couple goes on official outings, including a tour of Australia which reveals popularity at the top.

From there, everything went downhill.

“The concern is that when someone who is supposed to be in a supporting role actually steals the show or does the job better than someone who was born to do it… It upsets people, it upsets the balance.

This statement released by Harry is clearly aimed at his brother and the dissatisfaction of the royal institution with the growing popularity of his couple.

Since then, the tone of the tabloids has completely changed, and his wife has been presented as a diva, her every move being criticized.

Faced with this surge, Meghan admits to having had suicidal thoughts, as she had already admitted during the interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021. Which prompts Harry to make a heartbreaking mea culpa: "I hate myself for that" , he says, admitting to having reacted as a member of the royal family more than as a husband.

Once again, throughout the three episodes, the parallel with what Diana, Harry's mother, experienced is regularly highlighted.

The prince also denounces the system established for decades between the royal family and the press, which has become a real business.

Thus, to deflect the attention given to X, his team is ready to leak information on Y... "Seeing my brother's communications office do exactly the same thing that we had promised ourselves never to do, it broke my heart,” admits Harry.

“My grandmother was sitting there, silent and cashing in”

The fifth part of the series tackles the ongoing battle with the media and the lawsuit against the "Daily Mail" brought by Meghan for having published a letter addressed to her father.

Harry keeps reminding that the royal family has never reacted to the media harassment of which his wife has been the subject.

An untenable situation that pushes them to consider moving abroad.

This is the beginning of the split between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the British clan.

A decisive moment takes place during the famous secret meeting in Sandringham, at the beginning of 2020, between Harry, William, Charles and the queen evoking the installation of the Sussexes in Canada.

Meghan was not invited.

The meeting was stormy: “It was terrifying to see my brother shouting at me, my father telling me inaccurate things and my grandmother sitting there, in silence and cashing in,” describes Harry.

The break with William takes a definite turn a few hours later.

While an article was released assuring that the eldest himself had pushed his brother and Meghan towards the exit, a press release signed by the two brothers denied all the content.

“No one asked me for permission to attach my name to this press release, however assures Harry.

Within four hours, they lied to protect my brother, no problem.

But in three years, they have never seen fit to tell the truth to protect us.

Harry and Meghan therefore move to Canada.

The British press blames Meghan for the case, dubbed the Megxit.

“It's totally false, insists Harry.

It was my decision, she never asked to leave.

The sixth and final part deals in particular with the interview given by the couple, now based in California, to American host Oprah Winfrey in March 2021. We discover the content of a support text message sent by Beyoncé to Meghan following diffusion.

As well as a lost Harry in the face of a message just received from his brother, this time without the words being revealed.

As a red thread, the legal fight against the "Daily Mail" is taking its course, the tabloid increasing its attacks on Meghan.

"I believe that if my wife had a miscarriage, it was because of the

" even asserts Harry, in reference to the outcome of his wife's second pregnancy in July 2020. In the end, it is Meghan Markle who won her lawsuit against the media group.

The documentary ends on a positive note, in the mouth of Meghan who once again relates the fairy tale that represents her love story with Harry: "Love prevails", she concludes.
