Hardly anyone knows that porcupines are very affectionate.

One puppy even goes for a broom, thinking it's attacking its "mom".

And doing acrobatic arts.

They look like a cross between a guinea pig and a hedgehog with long spines: the porcupine.

However, the "pig" does not refer to their being related to the domestic pig, but because of their rather rounded shape.

They are originally native to parts of Asia, Africa and southern Europe and belong to the rodent family.

Their spines on the back and tail are not just for decoration, but also serve to ward off potential predators.

Mini porcupine goes for broom - to protect his "mommy".

However, if you leave the nocturnal animals alone, they are rather shy and peaceful.

However, if potential attackers are nearby, then they become alert and can dish out properly.

Now even an innocent broom has felt it.

In a video on TikTok that went viral, a mini porcupine charged at them.

But why?

Not because it feels threatened, but because it believes its human mom is in danger!

In the clip, which has been viewed over 22 million times, the mother of the TikTok user named Topher, who is capturing the hilarious scene, can be seen sweeping the kitchen floor.

Then the baby porcupine comes around the corner and attacks the broom.

Again and again it runs against it, even performing a few "tricks" by suddenly running sideways and then running back to its "mama" again and again.

She is amused, at the same time she scolds the puppy that it should leave the kitchen as soon as possible.

The followers find it funny, the clip has already received over two million likes.

Many comment below, “how cute” they find the sight.
