Öko-Test tested face creams.

Instead of proof of anti-aging, the testers found questionable preservatives and fragrances.

But the examiners still have a valuable tip against wrinkles.

Munich - Face creams should care, enrich the skin with vitamins or reduce wrinkles.

If you apply a cream, you may soon notice that the skin is no longer so tight.

Maybe that it will become smoother.

If not, there are plenty of other pots and jars to be found on drugstore and perfumery shelves.

They offer other similar products.

The specialist magazine Ökotest tested and examined 44 face creams.

The result: "We can only recommend ten of the 44 face creams in the test without any ifs or buts with top marks."

Again and again Ökotest takes a close look at products and publishes its results.

Groceries such as olive oils from Ali, Lidl and Co.

Face creams in the test - ten out of 44 recommended without any ifs or buts

Four products were

rated

“unsatisfactory” and the negative leader was a face cream, which received a total of 15 deductions – other defects are not even counted, the testers write.

The list of substances that the Ökotest experts have no place in cosmetics is long.

These always included problematic preservatives, critical fragrances, silicones, paraffins, aromatic hydrocarbons (MOAH), questionable UV filters and PEG compounds.

So much can be revealed: the testers found some of the substances mentioned in the creams.

Sun creams are repeatedly criticized because of their sometimes controversial ingredients in UV filters.

Also with other testers, such as Stiftung Warentest.

Face creams in the test - are anti-wrinkle creams convincing?

Delay aging as long as possible.

For this, men and women regularly smear and dab and pat creams into the skin.

And then she straightens up?

Ökotest means rather not.

"Bad news," it says in the test.

That doesn't work.

And yet many cosmetics suppliers tried to make us believe that over and over again.

"As usual, we wanted to see evidence of these promises of effectiveness," Ökotest continued.

However, none of the studies presented would have convinced that the examined cream could do more than an ordinary care cream.

At best, the upper layer of skin would be temporarily padded.

The tip of the experts: Enough sleep and healthy eating prevent wrinkles.
