229 euros child allowance in addition to child benefit: who can apply for the money?

Especially with single parents, there is often hardly any money left over at the end of the month.

The family benefits offices of the employment agencies pay a child allowance in case of need.

The crux: Hardly anyone gets the money.

Families do not know about the benefit or are unsure whether they are entitled to it.

This can easily be checked online.

Munich – The child benefit for the first and second child is currently 219 euros.

The Family Benefits Office pays 225 euros for a third child.

For the fourth and each additional child 250 euros. Some families can also receive the children's supplement (KiZ) of a maximum of 229 euros per month.

Money that is more than good for families in times of inflation, rising food prices and the energy crisis.

According to estimates, one million children are entitled to the child supplement

The child supplement is intended to prevent parents from having to apply for Hartz IV simply because of the expenses for their children.

Affected families, including many single parents, can apply for child benefit plus.

Child allowance: How to apply for child allowance?

The family benefits offices of the employment agencies are responsible for the KiZ.

They always grant the benefit for full months.

There are conditions for receiving the child allowance.

For example, applicant parents must live with the child.

The maximum limit for entitlement to child supplement is - as with child benefit - the 25th year of life of a child.
