Henry Cavill is not returning as Superman

Happy too early, dear Henry Cavill fans: Apparently, the previously acting Superman actor will not return to the DCU after all.

After a meeting with the two heads of DC Studios, James Gunn and Peter Safran, statements from both camps clarified the situation.

Despite the teaser at the end of "Black Adam", Henry Cavill ("The Witcher") will not celebrate a big comeback as Clark Kent aka Kal-El aka Superman.

This dates back to a meeting between Cavill and new DC Studios bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran.

The results were shared with the public via Twitter and Instagram.

Gunn says Cavill won't be donning the cape again like some fans were hoping after the post-credits scene.

This also seems to make possible sequels to "Black Adam" with Dwayne Johnson, who denies that his movie flopped, less likely.
