The Slovak government of Prime Minister Eduard Heger has fallen. After bitter disputes, 78 of the 150 deputies present in the hall today voted no confidence. To bring down the government, the opposition needed 76 votes. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - PRAGUE, DECEMBER 15 - The Slovak government of Prime Minister Eduard Heger has fallen.

After bitter disputes, 78 of the 150 deputies present in the hall today voted no confidence.

To bring down the government, the opposition needed 76 votes.

The executive will continue to operate with limited powers.

In all likelihood, early elections will proceed.
