The prize season is in full swing in France.
After the Louis Delluc prize - nicknamed the "Goncourt of tricolor cinema" -, the Academy of Lights enters the arena.
The institution, which brings together journalists from the international press based in France, announced its nominations on Thursday.
They are generally a good indicator of those that the Caesar Academy will announce on January 25.
Dominik Moll 's thriller
La Nuit du 12
has won the most citations with six chances for statuettes when the Lumières prizes will be awarded on January 16 at the Forum des images in Paris.
A relentless cop's investigation into an unexplained feminicide beats
Pacifiction - Torment on the Islands
by Albert Serra, which garners five nominations.
Saint Omer

Note:
Pacification

Saint Omer

Among the films selected, there is also the beautiful portrait of a woman tormented by the desire for children and motherhood

The films selected by the Académie des Lumières are works that have achieved consensus among critics and have for some found their audience in theaters, such as The Night of 12, Chronicle of a Passing Liaison or The Children of Others.
But the voters completely left out the biopic of Simone Veil signed Olivier Dahan.
Despite its two million spectators,
Le voyage du siècle
does not appear in any of the categories.
Clash of titans among actresses
Headlining three feature films this year -
