You're guaranteed to get them baked.

Stollen is simply part of Christmas!

The traditional pastry was first mentioned in a document in 1474, but it took over 500 years for it to become a real brand: Dresdner Christstollen.

Only 134 bakeries from Dresden are allowed to bake the stollen from the finest ingredients, according to a strictly tested family recipe.

But we're not baking the original here (we're not allowed to either), but our own version in

Simply Tasty

small format.

And best of all: the stollen lasts longer in the practical screw-top jar and you can also give it away as a gift 🎁.

That's how it's done:

For this you need these ingredients:

  • Stollen dough:

  • 250 g flour

  • 2 teaspoons of baking soda

  • 100 grams of sugar

  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 2 tsp Stollen Seasoning

  • 150 g butter, diced

  • 120 g edible quark

  • 3 eggs

  • 100 g almonds, chopped

  • 50 g fruit mix (lemon)

  • 50 g rum raisins

  • Rum, to taste

  • 100 g marzipan, diced

  • After baking:

  • 80g butter, melted

  • 20 g granulated sugar

  • Besides that:

  • butter for greasing

  • Jars with lids

The preparation is simple:

  • For the stollen dough: Mix the

flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and stollen seasoning.

Stir in the butter, eggs and quark with the whisks of a hand mixer until a homogeneous dough is formed.

Fold in the almonds, fruit mix, rum raisins, rum (optional) and marzipan.

  • Pour the batter into greased and ovenproof screw-top jars, leaving 1/3 empty as the stollen will rise during baking.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 20 minutes.

  • After baking:

Brush hot stollen with melted butter and sprinkle with granulated sugar.

Screw on the lid, close tightly and leave to cool.

  • Have fun giving away!

  • These mini stollen in a glass make the perfect gift!
