Moscow accuses Washington
of having 'de facto' become part of the
Ukrainian conflict and says it 'will not be able to escape its involvement in the terror unleashed by Kiev' against the Russians.
According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, reports Ria Novosti, "Washington, which has in fact become a party to the conflict, will not be able to escape its involvement in the terror unleashed by the Kiev regime against the civilian population of Russia and relieve itself of responsibility for the death and destruction caused by American weapons".
Zakharova recalled a series of Ukrainian attacks on Russian cities and towns: "Such actions of the Kiev regime are conducted with the approval of the United States, which is directly involved in the guidance of artillery and missile systems."
The recent visit to Kherson by Martin Griffiths, UN Deputy Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs, is "provocative and inadmissible", added the spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"Griffiths' visit to Kherson and the Russian region, where citizens voted in a referendum to join the Russian Federation and were accepted, is intentionally provocative and is, therefore, inadmissible. The UN Secretary-General should ask an end to such initiatives by members of its Humanitarian Department".
