It was on her Instagram account, Thursday, December 15, that Jane Fonda announced the good news.
“Last week, my oncologist told me that my cancer was in remission and that I could stop the chemo”, writes the American actress, just a few days before her 85th birthday.

"I feel so blessed, so lucky," she captioned her Instagram post.
“I thank all of you who prayed and sent me warm thoughts.
I'm sure that played a part in this happy ending.
I am all the happier that my first four chemotherapy treatments were rather easy to bear, with only a few days of fatigue, while the last chemotherapy session was hard and lasted two weeks, preventing me from doing what whether it be."
Actress, activist and fighter
On September 2, Jane Fonda announced that she had started chemotherapy to treat "non-Hodgkin's lymphoma", a cancer of the lymphatic system.
Despite the news, the Oscar-winning actress considered herself very lucky “to have health insurance” and thus “to have access to the best doctors and treatments”, unlike “many” Americans.
A seasoned peace activist, the former aerobics star took the opportunity to point the finger at the role of fossil fuels and pesticides in cancer, turning her announcement into a political missive.
Very committed to the environment, she has also reserved her first public appearance since her remission at a climate march in Washington DC alongside Greenpeace on December 2.
