A series of guides to the cities of art intended for young people and children built in a fairytale way with an exceptional guide: little Maradino, a child born on an island in the Neapolitan archipelago and raised with the myth of Diego Armando Maradona.

It is the idea with which the Neapolitan publishing house Roberto Nicolucci Editore launched the project "Maradino to discover Italy", a book a year dedicated to one of the great cities of art (from Palermo to Venice, from Rome to Florence ) and signed by Roberto Nicolucci himself, a young art historian and former 'patron' engaged in the enhancement of Neapolitan cultural excellence.

The departure of Maradino's literary and popular journey could only be Naples, the kingdom of Diego Armando Maradona.

The first volume of the project is precisely "Maradino discovering Italy. Naples" and will be presented on Saturday 17 December (11 am) in the "Le Zifere" Literary Lounge.

It will also be a 'party' for children with Maradino himself as speaker.

In fact, the fictional character in Nicolucci's book is inspired by Massimino, his 10-year-old Neapolitan nephew with the face of a street urchin and Maradona-style curls who has been in Spain for some years following his parents engaged in a pedagogical project inspired by the Montessori method .

And there is a strong imprint of his art history studies intertwined with the pedagogical tradition of the Suor Orsola Benincasa University in the methodology of art pedagogy that inspired Nicolucci's work.

A 'guide' with a dual purpose: to tell the best-known places in Naples in a more popular way but also to reveal some of the lesser-known 'pearls' of the artistic heritage.

The Neapolitan hospitals Santobono and Pausilipon will be the first recipients of the proceeds from the first volume of the "Maradino" project.
