(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 16 - "Infantino has announced that Fifa has earned 7.5 billion dollars from the World Cup, over a billion more than expected", and that "Fifa revenues will rise to 11 billion in 4 years. Yet it has offered nothing new to the many workers and their families who continue to be denied compensation for stolen wages and lost lives.
Stephen Cockburn of Amnesty International says so.
"The migrant workers behind this World Cup" in Qatar "have contributed enormously to the incredible wealth of FIFA, which now has a clear responsibility to compensate them" instead of "continuing to ignore calls for justice".
