(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 16 - In 2022, the use of TV can be restored: overall 95.1% of Italians watch it.
The balance between the decrease in traditional TV viewers (-3.9% compared to 2021), a slight growth in satellite TV (+1.4%), the strong increase in internet TV (web TV and smart TV reach 52.8%, +10.9% in one year) and the mobile TV boom, which went from 1.0% of viewers in 2007 to 34.0% today (more than a third of Italians).
They are among the data of the 18th Censis report on communication, entitled The media of the crisis, presented in Rome.
The radio continues to reveal itself at the forefront of the hybridization processes of the media system.
Overall, radio listeners are 79.9 of Italians, stable from one year to the next.
But if the radio listened to at home through traditional equipment stands at 48.0% (-0.8% compared to 2021), the car radio rises to 69.0% (+4.6%, an increase linked to the end of the restrictions on mobility previously imposed due to the health emergency).
Listening via the internet with a PC is stable at 20.4% while use via smartphone is becoming increasingly important: 29.2% of Italians do so (+5.4% in one year).
