David Fincher will receive a César d'honneur on the occasion of the 48th edition of this award ceremony for French cinema, the Canal+ television channel announced on Friday.
Last year, Australian star Cate Blanchett was honored with the same award.
“David Fincher is one of those rare directors whose entire filmography has become iconic over the years.
An outstanding technician, a true visionary, his cinema is hypnotic, cerebral, a source of inspiration for countless artists,”
the channel wrote in a press release.
