(ANSA) - VILLABATE, DECEMBER 16 - A man stabbed his partner to death and then took his own life in Villabate, a town on the outskirts of Palermo.
The murder suicide took place in the couple's apartment in via Giovanna d'Arco.
The man first raged against the woman and then took his own life with the same knife used for the crime.
The carabinieri of the Misilmeri company, the 118 health workers and the firefighters intervened on the spot.
The victim is Giovanna Bonsignore, 46 years old, the companion who killed her Salvatore Patinella, 41. The tragedy took place in the woman's apartment in Villabate.
Some friends were alarmed and called the police who entered the house thanks to the intervention of the firemen and found the woman killed with several stab wounds and the
man who took his own life with the same weapon.
