(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 16 - Istat confirms the inflation estimates for November.
The national consumer price index for the whole community (NIC), gross of tobacco, recorded an increase of 0.5% on a monthly basis and of 11.8% on an annual basis, stable compared to the month of October.
"Core inflation", excluding energy and fresh food, accelerates from +5.3% to +5.6%;
that net of energy assets alone rose from +5.9% to +6.1%.
The inflation acquired for 2022 is confirmed at +8.1% for the general index and +3.7% for the core component.
The estimates on the goods in the so-called "shopping cart" were limited from 12.8% to 12.7%.
The euro area annual inflation rate stood at 10.1% in November 2022, down from 10.6% in October.
The figure is slightly revised upwards from the 10% flash estimate given at the end of November.
In the EU it fell to 11.1% from 11.5% in October, communicates Eurostat.
Energy still drives prices above all (+3.82 percentage points).
