Blue double in the first downhill of the Ski World Cup in St.Moritz: Elena Curtoni - 31 years old, in her third success and ninth career podium - won in 1'09"40, ahead of Sofia Goggia in 1'09" 69.

Third is the Swiss Corinne Suter, in 1'10"13. Furthermore, there is a good seventh place in 1'10"67 for the blue Federica Brignone, who descended with a bit of fog at high altitude.

Then for Italy there are Laura Pirovano, 10/a in 1'10"76, further back Nicol Delago in 1'12"00 and Nadia Delago in 1'12"90. Sofia Goggia was unlucky for having violently slammed the left hand against a goal post.
