Thomas Dippel, Jana Ina Zarrella and Saliha "Sally" Özcan celebrate winning the "German Food Oscar"

TV star chef Johann Lafer, the agency group pilot and the food community "Einfach Tasty" honored the best video creators in Hamburg.

The "

", an award ceremony that was launched by the digital food platform "Starcook", brought together the who's who of the German TV and social media scene on December 8th, 2022 at the pilot headquarters in Hamburg.

Among other things, the search was for the "

", who was determined in an online vote from 11 candidates who were enthusiastic about cooking and baking and had previously been awarded monthly prizes, including for the best vegan, burger or Grill recipe in the Starcook app.

Here, Thomas Dippel from Hamburg prevailed, with his channel “Thomas kocht” on YouTube (430,000 subscribers).

His Ossobuco recipe won just ahead of the truffle crostini from Cologne bread baker Jo Semola (672,000 followers on TikTok).

Dippel received the prize from the hands of “Starcook” founder Johann Lafer.

Lafer had previously given two laudations: one for his specialist and TV colleague Thomas Martin from the Hotel Restaurant Louis C. Jacob in Hamburg, who emerged as "Best Professional" from an online and jury vote, and the other for Honorary award winner Saliha "Sally" Özcan, who runs Germany's most successful YouTube food channel "Sally's World" with over two million subscribers.

She was connected to the event live via Zoom call.

They were honored by Johann Lafer (2nd from right) and "Starcook": Thomas Dippel (winner "Starcook of the Year", left), Axel Schmitt (winner "Upcoming Star Food-TV", 2nd from left) and Ferdi Ünlü aka Keladams Kitchen (winner of the Social Involvement award for his well project in Africa).

Additional prizes were awarded in a further seven categories.

Here, among others, presenter Jana Ina Zarrella with “Casa Zarrella” (category “Best Cookbook”), professional baker Axel Schmitt (category “Upcoming Food-TV Star”) and Maya Leinenbach alias “fitgreenmind” (category “Best Of TikTok”) push through.

The "Fair Trade Product 2022" prize went to "Jokolade", represented by Coralie Grau and co-developed by show host Joko Winterscheidt.

In addition, rapper and actor Eko Fresh honored the TikTok star Ferdi Ünlu aka "Keladams Kitchen", who was able to persuade his community to donate money for the construction of 20 wells in Africa.

Special guest of the award was the "Starcook" cult voice, TikTok star Peter Creutzburg aka "creutzi", who together with musical actress Velile presented his song "Cooking must be with love".

The "Starcook Awards" were presented by "CASO Design" and "Bergner Group".
