A man faces a court in Britain for beating King Charles III last month.
should have pelted with eggs.
Local law enforcement said the 23-year-old was charged with "threatening behavior."
The trial is scheduled to begin in mid-January.
If convicted, the York man faces up to six months in prison.
The man is said to be Charles III.
Attacked with several eggs during a visit to the city in mid-November.
These had just missed the British king.
"This country was built with the blood of slaves," the accused is said to have shouted at the time.
Shortly afterwards he was arrested by the police on "suspicion of disturbing public order" and later released on bail.
One condition of his temporary release was that he was not allowed to have eggs in public, except when shopping.
British media reported at the time that it was an activist from the climate protection movement Extinction Rebellion, who had previously run for the Greens.
Earlier this month, Charles III.
also had an egg thrown at him during a tour of the town of Luton near London.
The officers then arrested a 28-year-old, who was later released on bail.
The man is also due to appear in court in January.
Queen Elizabeth II died in September at the age of 96.
Since then, her 74-year-old son Charles III.

Officially, he is to be crowned on May 6th next year.
