Aldi Süd customers already know on Sundays which offers are on the shelves at discounters during the week.

The prospectus has recently been available on smartphones via WhatsApp.

Munich – Digitization in the food trade is progressing.

It ranges from paying with chip cards, to scanner tills at the exit of the shop, to picking up pre-ordered goods at parcel terminals.

The changes in retail are obvious to all consumers.

And if you want to know what's on offer at Aldi Nord on Sundays, you can now have the discounter's brochure sent directly to your cell phone via WhatsApp.

For many consumers and Aldi customers, this should be a long-awaited step.

Rewe and Kaufland have already done it, and now Aldi Nord has followed suit.

Aldi Süd has also been offering the brochure to its customers via the messenger service for some time.

On Sundays you can browse through the offers and compare prices.

Digitization in retail: Current offers are sent directly to the smartphone via WhatsApp

Customers who want to secure the knowledge advantage have to take a few steps.

Then they can subscribe to the Aldi brochure.

  • In order to receive the

    prospectus service

, Aldi customers can register via their smartphone.

You can select the prospectus for your own region by entering your postal code.

After that, consumers will receive a reminder every Sunday and a link will take them to the retailer's digital prospectus.

There, links then lead directly to the Aldi online shop or to other campaign pages.

By clicking on “Stop”, customers can immediately end their subscription via WhatsApp.

    The offer is free.

This is how the Aldi Nord brochures come onto the smartphone:

  • Go to the promotion page

  • Scan the QR code with a QR code scanner

  • A WhatsApp chat with Aldi Nord then opens

  • You can now send the ready-made message

  • You will then receive a message asking you to confirm the terms and conditions and data protection provisions

  • You should then enter your zip code.

In the future you will receive offers from stores in your area on your smartphone

  • Finally, you have to click on Start to activate the subscription service

  • You will then receive the current brochures from Aldi Nord every Sunday

  • Rewe, Aldi Süd and Kaufland offer similar WhatsApp services

The brochure offers from Rewe, Aldi Süd and Kaufland also work according to a similar principle.

This gives consumers a very easy way to compare prices and offers from supermarkets and discounters on their cell phones on Sundays and to write a shopping plan for the week.

But don't get annoyed like this customer if the Christmas elf in the north is three euros cheaper than the one from the dealer in the south.

Modern technology makes prices more transparent.
