The dents on your legs and bottom bother you?
Many try to counteract this with exercise and home remedies.
Depending on the measure, the effects are minimal.
Who actually decided that cellulite is a blemish?
The dents in the skin of the legs and buttocks are defined as unsightly by the manufacturers of care and cosmetic products.
The motive is obvious: they want to sell their anti-cellulite products.
But advertisements for flawless skin all over the body, shown in women's magazines and on billboards, have an enormous impact on our society.
Women and men emulate the ideal of beauty, buy expensive care products, do excessive sport and can even slip into eating disorders.
Advocates of the body positivity movement want to take countermeasures.
They show their curves publicly, for example on their Instagram channels – without any filters.
Everything revolves around the acceptance of one's own body, with all its dents, proportions and supposed flaws.
But many women and men are far from accepting their bodies as they are.
There is creamed and sported, what the stuff holds.
But does the latter help against orange peel?

What is cellulite?
Cellulite shows up as bumps in the skin.
These can usually be seen on the legs and bottom.
Genetic fat lobules in the subcutaneous tissue that spread with age cause cellulite.
But according to the Techniker Krankenkasse (TK), genetics, the female sex hormone estrogen and water retention can also contribute to the formation of dents.
Weight doesn't matter, even slim women can get cellulite, TK continues.

Sport against cellulite: the only effective remedy?
Many people focus on abs, legs, and buttocks exercises to fight cellulite.
“Targeted training can activate the metabolism, break down fat and strengthen and tighten the muscles.
Cellulite can certainly be reduced in this way, but not completely magically gone," physiotherapist Annina Samtleben is quoted as saying on the Swiss portal Physiozentrum.
