(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 19 - The head of the Iranian judiciary Gholamhossein Mohseni Ajaei has asked that the "definitive" sentences of the demonstrators be carried out "without delay".

The senior magistrate speaking at the meeting of the Supreme Council of the judiciary regarding those arrested for the ongoing protests said: "The sentences issued for people who have committed serious crimes in ;;any area, whether security or not, must be documented and justified as well as be a deterrent".
And he underlined that for "a final sentence there should be no delay in the execution".
